MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It is a new chapter for a handful of Milwaukee students.
The United Negro College Fund's (UNCF) Empower Me tour is back in Milwaukee for the next few days.
While here, they're offering up on the spot opportunities for students to explore attending a historically Black college or university. But that's not all.
They are also awarding students with scholarships.
The tour's director told CBS 58 that events like this can be the first step for students looking to achieve their dreams.
"There is a community of people that want you to succeed, that want you to be educated and want you to understand the importance of your dreams and aspirations," said Stacey Lee Spratt, director with the Empower Me tour.
This is not the first time the Empower Me tour has been made available to Milwaukee students.
Last year, more than $14.5 million in scholarships were offered to kids in our hometown.
