MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 41-year-old man was arrested after authorities say he attempted to meet someone who he believed was a 14-year-old girl. 

The Mount Pleasant Police Department received the initial report on April 14. 

According to police, the man attempting to meet with the individual was identified as Steven Lachance of Union Grove. 

On April 17, arrangements were made to Lachance to meet with the person he believed was 14 at a business in Mount Pleasant. It was there authorities took Lachance into custody. 

Lachance was booked into the Racine County Jail on the following charges: 

• 1 count of Child Enticement- Sexual Contact 948.07(1)
• 1 count of Use of a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime 948.075(1r)
• 3 counts of Cause Child (Age 13-18) to View Sex Activity 948.055(1)
