MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Historic Third Ward in Milwaukee is set to host several events this month. Jordan Dechambre, Marketing Director with the Historic Third Ward Organization, joined us on Thursday, July 6 to discuss some of the events.
Gallery Night MKE will return on Friday, July 21, and Saturday, July 22. The event, which features art viewing at numerous venues throughout downtown Milwaukee neighborhoods, is free to the public. More info can be found by clicking here.
The Riverwalk Commons Concert Series will take place at Riverwalk Commons on July 11 and July 18 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Joe Wray will perform on Tuesday, July 11, while Evan Christian will take the stage on Tuesday, July 18. Those attending can enjoy a pre-performance happy hour with beverage specials and food trucks from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Ayre in the Square, a live music event, will be held in Catalano Square on Saturday, July 22 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event features four artists: Colorblind Chameleon, Chris Haise Band, Mark Waldoch and Mark Soriano.
In addition, Dechambre mentioned that several establishments have recently opened in the Historic Third Ward. The Edison offers new American cuisine with coal-fired butcher’s cuts and seafood. Gibraltar is a jazz-centric bar. Fusion Poke serves Hawaiian-inspired poke and other dishes.
