U.S Championship Cheese Contest underway in Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Dozens of cheesemakers are vying for first place at the U.S. Championship Cheese Contest this week.
The competition is in Green Bay this year and there are more than 2,500 cheese, butter, yogurt, and dry dairy entries.
Fourteen companies from Southeast Wisconsin are participating with competitors from 35 states.
"Cheesemakers take tremendous pride in what they do. Wisconsin has a tremendous tradition in cheesemaking and they'll be great contenders in this contest as well," said Rebekah Sweeney with the Wisconsin Cheesemakers Association.
The competition runs through Saturday.
