SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Ryder Cup: A rivalry between the USA and Europe that brings out fans from around the world. CBS 58 was at Whistling Straits Friday, Sept. 24, where a sea of red, white, and blue fans were found.

"It's the best sporting event ever. Like ever," said Sofia Zubiria, Team Europe fan. "The best!"

Some European fans challenged USA fans to cheer a little louder.

"The atmosphere was pretty good. Not as loud as I probably thought it would be," said Zubiria.

"Europeans used to dress up in costumes and sing songs and you know what, we can do the same thing," Zubiria said.

There's no doubt fans are taking note. The crowd filled the first tee for the afternoon session.

The Milwaukee Bucks official DJ, DJ Shawna, has been performing at the Ryder Cup all week. She witnessed the mayhem as fans ran in at 6 a.m.

"And watching people come over this hill that's behind you and just fill into these bleachers," DJ Shawna said. "It's just incredible to witness, and it becomes this party."

If fans learned anything from day one, it's leave early and plan for traffic because it's going to be crowded.

"I said we are going to have to get up at 4 a.m. to get here just in time," said Kara Luinek, golf fan. "I hope they get the traffic situation figured out. By the time we got here it was fairly disappointing."
