UW-Parkside names Menke interim chancellor

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- University of Wisconsin System President Jay Rothman announced in a press release on Tuesday, April 4, that Scott Menke will serve as interim Chancellor of UW-Parkside, beginning June 9.

Menke, currently Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration, will replace Chancellor Debbie Ford, who has accepted a position as Chancellor of Indiana University Southeast. Menke has been with UW-Parkside since 2004, holding various roles and overseeing key financial and administrative functions.

In a statement, Menke expressed gratitude for his time at the university, saying, "I am both humbled and honored to continue working with the team as interim chancellor."

Ford, who has served as UW-Parkside's Chancellor since 2009, will be greatly missed, according to Rothman.

Menke's appointment is intended to ensure a smooth transition while the search for a permanent leader is underway.
