MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's Valley Week in Milwaukee. It showcases all the urban nature and outdoor recreation the Menomonee River Valley has to offer.
Monday's event was a sunset kayak tour of the river, complete with a history lesson on the valley area.
After dark, participants paddled with the help of headlamps. Organizers say the event celebrates all things river valley.
"We have 60 acres of parks, seven miles of trails and our goal is to get people down and using those," said Michelle Karmer, Menomonee Valley Partners director of marketing.
The Menomonee River Valley's annual fall festivities continue until Oct. 1.
