MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- On Thursday, Milwaukee Police released video and the police report from a fight on a school bus where an eighth-grade boy was knocked unconscious back on April 9.

The incident happened on a GO Riteway bus route after picking students up at Milwaukee Academy of Chinese Language.

Police were called N. 32nd Street/W. Brown St. around 4:35 p.m.

Police interviewed a seventh-grader who told him that he kicked the 8th grader in the ribs twice, and knocked him out after there was an argument over water getting sprayed on kids with a water bottle.

The student was given a citation for disorderly conduct.

The other student was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Back in April Milwaukee Public Schools released this statement:

“Milwaukee Public Schools does not tolerate this type of behavior and has clear policies and procedures to respond to students who harm others.”

The bus originally didn’t stop at the bus stop because there was a large crowd of people waiting and the driver was worried a larger fight would start.

A student waiting at that stop threw a rock at the bus and broke a window.

The bus quickly turned around and police began their investigation and first responders took care of the student hurt on-board.

GO Riteway said they have been working closely with the school to ensure student safety, and there have not been any more reported fights since this incident.
