MILWAUKEE, WIS. (CBS 58)-- A video of a close call on Milwaukee's south side has gone viral. It's another case of a reckless driving incident, but this time, police say no one was seriously hurt.

"We looked and found that the car had already flipped," explained Leri Pacheco Antonio in Spanish.

Pacheco Antonio works at Mr. Churro bakery and lives right next door. On Saturday, June 20 she was celebrating her two kids' birthdays when a crash happened around 5:18 p.m., steps away from the party.

"Everyone was eating and when we heard a crash, it was very loud, we ran outside to see what had happened," she said.

Surveillance video shows a black car on 24th Street making a left turn onto oncoming traffic along National Avenue, crashing into a white car that flips.

Milwaukee Police told CBS 58 News that the white car was speeding. After the cars collided, the pedestrians were not seriously hurt, thanks to an old phone booth that appeared to serve as a buffer.

"When I saw them out, the two people getting out, they were my cousins," she added.

The 18-year-old driver and the 22-year-old passenger, who are Pacheco Antonio's cousins, were luckily in and out of the hospital the same day.

"They only scraped their knees, and I think one of my cousins had a swollen eye," Pacheco Antonio said.

The two pedestrians, a 23-year-old and a 29-year-old were also treated for minor injuries. MPD said no one else was hurt.

Pacheco Antonio told CBS 58 News that the stretch along National Avenue is known for its accidents.

"I would say, well, there needs to be a stoplight there so that people, cars can slow down," she said.
