MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Ian Thompson of Visit Milwaukee joined us on Thursday, Aug. 28 to chat about some of the big events happening across the city over the weekend.
The Third Ward Art Festival runs Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 30-31, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free event features 150 artists showing ceramics, jewelry, photography and more. Visitors can meet artists, take painting classes, and enjoy live music, food and activities for kids.
Morning Yoga in Davidson Park begins at 9 a.m. Saturday. The free session includes mats while supplies last, with coffee and flower bouquets available afterward.
Zócalo Food Park hosts Happy Hour and Cerveceros Night on Friday, Aug. 29, with Brewers mascots, lowriders, games and music.
On Sunday, Aug. 31, Gift of Wings presents "Shrek" at Veterans Park at dusk. Admission is free and popcorn is $1.
