MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Despite the wintery weather of late, there are events scheduled to take place across Milwaukee on Valentine's Day weekend. Ian Thompson from Visit Milwaukee offered a preview when he joined us on Thursday, Feb. 13.

Flowers for Dreams will host a Valentine’s date night open studio workshop on Friday, Feb. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. at 133 W. Pittsburgh Ave. Attendees can build their own Valentine’s bouquet in a self-guided floral design session.

The Milwaukee Art Museum will hold a bilingual story time in the galleries on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. The event will feature stories in Spanish and English, followed by an art activity inspired by the readings.

The Great Stoutdoors 2025 will take place at 1840 Brewing Company on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The street party will feature limited stout releases, beer poking, food vendors and fire pits.

Present Music will present "Moby Dick; or, The Whale" at the Oriental Theatre on Friday. The silent film by Wu Tsang will feature a live orchestral accompaniment with compositions by Caroline Shaw, Andrew Yee and Asma Maroof.
