MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Venues across the city are hosting events, ranging from art showcases and live music to literary meetups and family outings. Ian Thompson of Visit Milwaukee joined us on Thursday, June 12 to chat about what's ahead.

The Lakefront Festival of Art will run Friday through Sunday, June 13 - 15 on the Milwaukee Art Museum’s lakeside grounds. This year’s edition features 145 artists, 30 more than in 2024. Attendees can browse art booths, listen to local performers, dine on-site and see museum galleries with general admission.

Harley-Davidson Museum will offer free admission to all fathers Sunday, June 15. The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. MOTOR Bar & Restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a complimentary beverage for dads who order an entrée.

Dead Bird Brewing Co. will host its next book swap on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. Visitors are invited to bring gently used books, trade with others and browse a community book table. The series runs through September and focuses on adult and young adult titles.

A free concert by local artist Emmitt James is scheduled for Friday at Lakefront Brewery. The performance is part of the Milwaukee Theater District’s "It’s Alive! in Milwaukee" series.
