MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Claire Koenig of Visit Milwaukee joined us on Thursday, Sept. 11 to share what’s happening in the city this weekend.

Bavarian Bierhaus Oktoberfest continues at Heidelberg Park in Glendale, marking more than 60 years as Milwaukee’s original Oktoberfest. The festival runs Thursday through Sunday most weekends into early October with live polka, folk dancing, Hammerschlagen and traditional food and drink. Admission is free on Thursday and Sunday, discounted on Friday and $10 on Saturday, with free parking available.

The Milwaukee Fire Department 150th Anniversary Festival takes place Saturday at Henry Maier Festival Park from noon to 4 p.m. Visitors can expect food vendors, music from Chasin’ Mason and both historic and modern fire equipment on display.

Also on Saturday, Franklin Field hosts the Tacos & Tequila Festival, a 21+ event featuring tacos, tequila tastings, lucha libre wrestling and a hip-hop lineup headlined by Lil Jon and Paul Wall, among others.

Hispanic Heritage Month kicks off Friday in Deer District with music, art, food and family-friendly activities celebrating Milwaukee’s Hispanic and Latinx community.
