Warmth continues for the end of September and beginning of October
Ever since we ended that long cool streak of weather from the end of August into the beginning of September the temps have been mild. Over the weekend we even came close to record highs! The temperature reached 85 in Milwaukee on Saturday which was just three degrees away from the record of 88. Sunday was a lot cooler with highs only around 70 but that's still above average and with all the sunshine it still felt great outside!
More warmth is expected today with highs in the upper 70s which is over 10 degrees above average. The average high has now dropped to 68. The temp will drop a bit towards the middle of the week with highs around 70 for Wednesday. Then we warm back up again with highs reaching 80 going into the upcoming weekend.
The temperature outlook for the first week of October continues to look warm. Most of the eastern two-thirds of the country looks to be above average and the bulk of the warmth will be in northern states like Wisconsin with an 80% chance for above average temps. With an average high of 66 by that point of the year expect lots of 70s and even a few 80s through the first week of the new month.
