Washington County Humane Society back open for adoptions after case of Brucellosis

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Washington County Humane Society is back open for dog and animal adoptions. WCHS had been closed after one of its dogs tested positive for Brucellosis in February. 

As of April 19, dogs are back on the adoption floor.

Twenty-seven of the shelter’s puppies and dogs remain in quarantine. The majority of the dogs are at a temporary facility in Germantown, and others are in Madison and Sheboygan.

The shelter is open on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The shelter is closed on Sundays.
