WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- I've kinda lost track of how many times I've done the cream puff competition at State Fair. I think it's five, maybe six. It's always on the last Thursday before the fair ends when I stand before my peers and try the impossible. Eat three cream puffs, with my hands behind my back, in record time.
I've never taken home the blue ribbon prize. I've come close. But not this year. It was definitely more challenging. They put cookies and brownies in the middle of the cream puffs, making it much harder to compete, in my opinion. I did leave one over, but at least I attempted to finish what I started.
I also tried using a nose plug to keep the cream from going up my nostrils. Didn't help. It actually fell off into the cream puffs themselves.
Better luck next year.
