Water Drop Warning in effect after severe weather

CBS 58

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's sewer officials are asking people to help their neighbors and area waterways to use less water, especially after getting more rain Wednesday night, April 15.

There is a Water Drop Warning in effect; this warning is to help the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District prevent sewer overflows.

Officials say one person uses about 100 gallons of water a day, so reducing that by even a quarter of the amount can help their system handle the extra rain.

You can sign up for Water Drop Alerts if you live in the Milwaukee Metro Area, the number is 414-296-4422.
