WaterSAFE MKE donates 2 life ring buoys to Milwaukee Public Schools

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The city of Milwaukee is continuing to make our waterways safe, and on Tuesday, WaterSAFE MKE donated two life ring buoys to two Milwaukee Public Schools.

"This will be integral to normalizing the usage of a ring buoy safely and properly in the saving of a life from water," said Milwaukee Fire Chief Aaron Lipski.

The ring buoys will help teach Milwaukee students, as well as adults, water safety.

Chief Lipski says these buoys are similar to those being placed along the Milwaukee River.

The first one was installed in April.
