Waukesha man convicted of killing girlfriend, hiding her body in woods sentenced to life in prison

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Waukesha man found guilty of killing his girlfriend back in 2022, has learned his fate. 

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, Matthew Pahl was sentenced to life in prison. 

Investigators say he killed Stephanie Pavlons in August of 2022 and left her body in a wooded area in Delafield. Pavlons was found by construction workers the next month. 

Officials used surveillance cameras and cellphone data in the investigation.
