MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Waukesha man was sentenced to 30 years in prison in federal court, according to the US Attorney's Office Eastern District of Wisconsin in a release.

35-year-old Cornelius Jackson was sentenced on Wednesday, April 23. Jackson was sentenced to 30 years in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release, after being convicted of four courts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, coercion and one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking.

According to the release, United States District Judge Brett Ludwig emphasized that it is “hard to overstate the seriousness” of Jackson’s conduct, describing how Jackson had “manipulated, used violence, and coerced many young women to sell their bodies for the sexual gratification of others,” over a period of six years.

The case was investigated by several agencies such as the FBI and the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
