WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- High school seniors across the state are facing a lot of uncertainty as the end of an unusual school year approaches.
With in-person classes now canceled, administrators at Waukesha North High School left it up to seniors to decide how to proceed with graduation.
They overwhelmingly opted for a delayed, in-person ceremony in July rather than a virtual one in June.
"We're just trying to make the best of the situation, that's what we're doing here," said senior Daniyal Rana. "I'm kind of excited, but it stinks we can't do a normal graduation, but at least we're doing something. At least we're getting some closure."
Principal Kristin Higgins says the district has set a tentative graduation date of July 18.
The ceremony will be held outdoors.
