WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Family identified the man killed while working at a Waukesha recycling facility Monday as 65-year-old Joel "Homer" Jundt.

His longtime partner tells us he worked as a truck driver at the company for nearly 40 years.

“He was the kindest person I knew, and he was that way to everyone, would help you no matter what," partner Pam Sallmann said. "Always stopped to talk to you. He will be very missed by many, many people."

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) confirms they've opened an investigation at the facility. They have six months to complete it.

Waukesha Iron & Metal released a statement Tuesday, saying in part, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the employee's family, friends, and coworkers during this difficult time."

The company was previously cited for a worker's death in 2015. At the time, OSHA cited them for 11 safety violations, proposing $42,000 in fines.

Waukesha Iron & Metal says they are cooperating fully with the investigation.
