Wauwatosa swears in new police chief, James MacGillis

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Wauwatosa's new police chief took his oath of office Friday, and he'll be ready for his first day on the job Monday, July 26.

James MacGillis takes over the department in Wauwatosa after spending 25 years in various roles with the Milwaukee Police Department.

He arrives at a turbulent time, following a year of protest and controversy over shootings involving former Wauwatosa police officer Joseph Mensah.
