We Energies completes work replacing gas meters damaged by flooding

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Across southeast Wisconsin, multiple gas meters and pressure regulators needed to be replaced due to damage from the historic floods.
On Monday, Sept. 22, We Energies natural gas crews wrapped up replacing those impacted meters, ending their six-week restoration effort.
We Energies Senior Field Operations Supervisor Sean Quinn tipped his hard hat to the crews who put in extra work on top of their already busy days.
"It feels good to get this far along and get this wrapped up in addition to the normal everyday work we have to we have to do this flood response we had a lot of employees who worked overtime and the weekends in order to get this stuff completed," Quinn said.
Over the span of six weeks, We Energies crews were able to replace more than 1,000 meters in the impacted neighborhoods.
