MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Brewers fans were hungry for a win Tuesday after Monday night's Game 1 loss, trying to do their best to keep the energy and excitement up at American Family Field.

Many of them started their day hours before first pitch.

Nyjer Morgan got the crowd fired up with a pregame video. Then former slugger Eric Thames took the microphone to whip the crowd into a frenzy, ripping his shirt off.

Then, it was game time. Freddy Peralta gave the fans a lot to cheer about by striking out Shohei Ohtani to start the game, and Jackson Chourio's leadoff homerun just about ripped the roof off.

But the Dodgers' two-run second inning quieted the crowd.

Still, a lot of people were on their feet for most of the game, especially for a full count or when the Dodgers struck out.

Fans knew how important this game was -- the difference between a tied series or going to Los Angeles down 2-0.

"Uh, a little nervous," said Courtney Jacobson, fan from Waukesha. "But I think they're going to come back. That's what they do all year."

“Everyone’s kind of bummed out, the Dodgers have got us beat," said Justin Hilgart, disappointed Brewers fan. "They’re pitching, we just can’t get anything going on offense...the Brewers have let us down a couple times in the postseason, but hopefully they can get back and win. They’ve been good all year, so hopefully they can get back.”
