WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) – Catholic Memorial out the gate hot with two wins to open the season as they try and repeat their classic 8 championship.
The Crusaders are one of three unbeaten teams in the division and coming off a win to North with the road victory, they extend their league winning streak to 11 games. They face an Arrowhead team that was dismissed by Muskego last week. The Crusaders know they are likely to take that loss out on them.
“All lot of our kids are good friends with the kids at Arrowhead and it was just one of those games. This is my 44th year coaching high school football and you get some of those games where you can’t do anything right and we know we have to play our very best to be in a game with Arrowhead,” says Bill young, Catholic Memorial Head Coach.
“Defensively, just be physical and tough and try and hit some guys every play. Try and set the tempo and just run them down eventually, because everyone has their breaking point,” says DE/TE Jacob Kaiser with Catholic Memorial.
“We try and be a 50/50 pass run team and I think that’s really had to defend in this league and I think we do a great job of doing that,” says Catholic Memorial QB Ben Nimz.
