West Allis police pursuit ends in Kenosha with 5 arrests
KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A police pursuit that began in Milwaukee and involved West Allis officers ended in Kenosha with five arrests, according to the West Allis Police Department.
Milwaukee police reportedly initiated the pursuit around 1:18 a.m. on Sunday, March 2 after a Chevrolet Tahoe was observed driving recklessly. West Allis officers say they then took over the chase when the vehicle entered their jurisdiction.
Police attempted a PIT maneuver near 60th and Cleveland, but the driver allegedly continued fleeing.
Officers say they pursued the Tahoe onto I-894 and southbound I-94. The chase ended on Antioch Road after another PIT maneuver.
Two individuals fled the scene and were not located. Five others were taken into custody.
The driver, a 19-year-old man from Waukegan, Ill., was arrested on multiple charges, including eluding and reckless endangerment. Four passengers, ages 17 and 18, were also arrested on drug possession charges.
