West Allis police pursuit ends in crash, 21-year-old man taken into custody

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- According to the West Allis Police Department, a pursuit ended in a crash on Saturday, March. 2. 

It happened around 5:56 p.m.

Officers attempted traffic stop on a stolen vehicle near 108th and Grant. The vehicle did not stop, and a pursuit was initiated. 

Police say the fleeing vehicle entered a parking lot near 108th and Cleveland and crashed into an unoccupied, parked, vehicle.

The driver, a 21-year-old male from Milwaukee, ran from the vehicle. 

He left behind two female passengers who were trapped in the stolen vehicle. 

The 2 females were transported to a hospital for treatment of their injuries by the West Allis Fire Department. 

The male driver was found near 112th and Cleveland and taken into custody. 

The investigation is ongoing.
