West Bend man arrested for OWI after allegedly trying to pick grandson up from school while intoxicated

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- West Bend Police were called to Green Tree School for a report of an intoxicated man who came to the school to pick up his 9-year-old grandchild.

It happened around 3:43 p.m. on Friday.

According to police, staff immediately called police when they noticed the man appeared to be intoxicated. A West Bend officer located and stopped the vehicle.

The 64-year-old man failed standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .189 in a PBT, and was arrested for OWI - With a Minor as Passenger.

Charges are pending.
