WHITEFISH BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) – Whitefish Bay Little League wrapped up the season at Craig Counsell Park over the weekend.
Parents say the little league season drew more attention since the Milwaukee Brewers are still playing. Brewers manager Craig Counsell grew up in Whitefish Bay and started his baseball career there.
“It’s just awesome, it’s awesome to be part of a town where Craig has had such a great name and reputation,” One parent said.
When Counsell was playing as a child, the fields were called Water Tower Park. The fields were renamed after him about four years ago.
