Whitefish Bay School District reinstates mask mandate amid 'high burden rate'

WHITEFISH BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Whitefish Bay School District announced Friday, April 22, masks will be required for two weeks for all in the district, beginning Monday, April 25. 

According to an email sent, the "burden rate" for the North Shore is now high. Administrators say if the North Shore burden rate is high, masks will be required by all in the district for two weeks. 

The school positivity rate remains below 1%. 

The district says they will only send out an update if and when there is a change to mask wearing.
