Winter chill remains for a few more days before we finally get back to average
Monday morning saw a classic lake event snow event where only a small portion of southeast Wisconsin saw snow from southern Milwaukee County into eastern Racine and Kenosha County. Parts of those counties saw 3-6" of snow with much less to the west and north.
Over the next three days there are no big chances for snow but a few random flurries cannot be ruled out on Wednesday. If they happen they likely will not accumulate. There is also another chance for light snow on Friday and Sunday but neither day looks very impressive with totals.
The chill will remain over the next few days with highs Tuesday and Wednesday staying in the mid to upper 20s then we finally get back to average for the first time this year in the low 30s for the end of the work week heading into the weekend.
Thankfully the wind will not be too blustery the next few days with wind speeds from 5-15 mph. The wind direction will stay out of the northwest through Thursday morning then shifts to the southwest trying to bring in that minor warm up for the end of the week.
Even though the wind is pretty light, it's enough for there to be a wind chill. Feels like temperatures Wednesday morning will hover around zero degrees when the wind is blowing or in the single digits above and below zero throughout the day then feeling like the teens Wednesday afternoon.
