5:30pm Update:

A Winter Weather Advisory and a Wind Advisory are issued for tomorrow night through Monday afternoon as snow combined with gusty winds are anticipated.

Patchy fog is expected tonight, but otherwise quiet conditions remain.  Temperatures will rise through the night so as we approach the lunch hour tomorrow, precipitation will begin but will stay as rain.  Showers are expected for most of tomorrow afternoon until just after sunset.  Then things will start to cool off, and areas north will begin to transition to mixed showers and then snow.  The further north you are, the higher the totals will be.

Snow enters for everyone overnight into Monday morning.  Gusty winds will pick up at this point, and even though snow will wrap through Monday at noon, wind gusts to near 55mph remain possible into Monday night.  Snow will blow around, and visibility will be reduced making for tough travel!

Light snow chances and breezy conditions are expected to return Tuesday and Wednesday with chilly temperatures to start the new year.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Saturday is the pick day of the weekend for sure. Look for cloudy skies with temperatures in the low 40s. Saturday night, look for light rain to break out, especially late at night. The rain chance will continue into much of Sunday before a changeover takes place into the evening hours. Highs again will be well in the 40s and then fall fast into Sunday night. The snow will continue into Monday afternoon for many. Snowfall amounts will be 1 to 2 inches at least around the metro with higher amounts north and west. The winds will be gusty as well with speeds at least 35 mph from the west. We do have a Winter Weather Advisory from 9 PM Sunday until noon Monday for all counties north of I-94. Then there's at least one more snow chance on Wednesday with a clipper system.  Highs all week will mostly be in the 20s. The wind will make it feel so much colder too. Highs could only stay in the teens on Thursday, the start of 2026.
