If you feel like it's been all about the wind lately, you'd be right. In fact, March was one of the windiest March's in U.S. history, since 1940. Take a look at this graphic:
Wisconsin had its' second windiest March since 1940. And April seems to be the same so far. This is to be expected as we move through our transition season as winter air retreats and the warmer air starts nudging in. These temperature differences often lend itself to more wind. Peak wind gusts yesterday were over 40 mph across much of the state.

Both days came with offshore wind. Moving forward, high pressure nudges in tonight and will allow the wind to slacken. Light wind will continue Wednesday, which means eventually that lake breeze will wander in. Then a warm front moves in with more of a south breeze Thursday.

Along with the south wind will come milder 60s and a chance for storms. Storm chances will continue Friday as well.
