WNBA All-Star, Milwaukee native Ogunbowale to miss opening playoff series

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale will miss at least two weeks after undergoing surgery on Tuesday.

The Wings announcing the 25-year-old 2020 WNBA scoring champion underwent a successful Iliac Crest Core Muscle Avulsion Repair after injuring her hip on Aug. 6 during a game against the Indiana Fever.

The team says she'll miss the rest of the regular season and the team's upcoming first-round playoff matchup.

Dallas is currently 17-16 on the season, sitting at 6th in the WNBA. Ogunbowale is averaging 19.7 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 3.6 APG in 30 games this season while shooting 40% on FGA.
