Woman charged in connection to fight, shooting at downtown Milwaukee George Webb

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Prosecutors have charged 25-year-old Dinena Campbell with attempted first-degree intentional homicide after they say she got in a fight with George Webb employees and attempted to kill them.

According to the criminal complaint, Officers responded to the incident at the 812 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. location, on Oct. 5th, at around 2:26 a.m.

According to an employee at the restaurant, Campbell, who was with another man, became upset about how long their food order was taking and eventually started throwing items at the employee.

That is when a fight broke out, and prosecutors say Campbell grabbed a gun from the waistband of the guy she was with and fired a single shot at the employee.

A witness who saw the fight unfold said he saw the magazine fall out of the gun after the first shot.

The witness then went on to say he saw Campbell come outside with another employee and point the gun at their head and threaten to kill them.

Prosecutors say surveillance video shows Campbell hit the second employee with a gun before taking off in a car with the man she was with.

Officers then located the man hours later in the same car during a traffic stop. The complaint says the man told police he was on his way to turn in his firearm because it was used in a shooting incident.

He then made a statement to officers, and identified Campbell, who he said he's known since high school.

Officers recovered one spent casing in the vestibule area of the George Webb restaurant. Officers also located one bullet strike to the wall behind the counter in the restaurant.

Campbell's Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for Oct. 24th, at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.
