Woman facing charges after going behind McDonald’s counter, assaulting employee
GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) – A 19-year-old Sheboygan woman is facing charges after assaulting a McDonald’s employee after the restaurant got her order wrong.
According to a criminal complaint, Debreaka D. Jones is facing charges of abuse of a child and disorderly conduct following the March 18 incident.
Court documents say Jones went through the drive-thru line at the McDonald’s restaurant on North Port Washington Road in Glendale. When she was given the wrong order, she threw the bag through the window and yelled at the employee. The employee then corrected the order and gave Jones new food.
In the criminal complaint it states minutes later, Jones came into the restaurant, cut the line and started yelling and cursing at the employee working the drive-thru.
The employee refunded Jones’ order in cash. Jones took the cash and then walked behind the counter and continued to yell and walk toward the employee. At this time, another employee who is 17-years-old, walked over to try and help the employee who was being yelled at.
Court documents state Jones then pushed the 17-year-old into a metal frying station. The 17-year-old hit her head and fell to the ground. She was then taken to the hospital for dizziness and nausea. Jones left the restaurant but was later identified by witnesses.
Jones faces more than $10,000 in fines and up to six years in prison.
