Woman fatally shot near 31st and Pierce in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that happened near 31st and Pierce in Milwaukee on Tuesday, Aug. 18.
Officials were called to the scene just before noon.
The Milwaukee Police Department says the victim is a 27-year-old Milwaukee woman.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office says an autopsy is scheduled.

Milwaukee police confirm an investigation is underway. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact authorities.
