Woman hospitalized after being bit by a dog in St. Francis

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The St. Francis Police Department responded to a dog bite complaint over the weekend.

The St. Francis Police Department was called to a home in the 2400 block of Whittaker Avenue around 4:13 p.m. on Saturday for a report of a woman who was bit by a dog and lost consciousness.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for a puncture wound.

The dog owner was issued quarantine paperwork.

The South Milwaukee/St. Francis Health Department will be following up on the investigation.
