Woman sentenced to 17 years in prison for fatal shooting near 17th and Burnham

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Janice Ramos, a 30-year-old Milwaukee woman who pleaded guilty in connection with a fatal shooting back in 2025, learned her fate. 

In court on Friday, Sept. 11, a judge sentenced Ramos to 17 years in prison and eight years of extended supervision. 

The shooting happened May 5, 2025, near 17th and Burnham. The victim was identified as 30-year-old Astrid Gonzalez Feliciano.

According to a criminal complaint, Ramos faked an emergency in an effort to lure the victim's boyfriend out of a residence before the shooting occurred.
