Woman who found Jayme Closs honored by Wisconsin Department of Children and Families

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) – The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families has honored Jeanne Nutter, the woman who found Jayme Closs.

Nutter was among the six outstanding child welfare professionals from around Wisconsin who were presented with a 2019 Caring for Kids award by DCF.

Nutter is an academic advisor with the University of Wisconsin’s School of Social Work.

A press release from DCF says, "Nutters’s leadership, compassion and training helped in getting Jayme safely back to her family."

Nutter was nominated by a former intern who said that Jayme couldn't have found a better person to get her to safety.
