SOUTH MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The bronze statue of the professional wrestler Reggie 'Da Crusher' Lisowski was unveiled in South Milwaukee Saturday.
The event dubbed, 'Crusherfest' brought in thousands of people to watch the bronze statue of South Milwaukee native Reggie 'Da Crusher' Lisowski unveiled. Thousands of fans came from all across Wisconsin, and beyond to see the statue of the wrestler known as, 'the man who made Milwaukee famous.'
"It's our legacy," said Dawn Lisowski, daughter of Da Crusher. "Everybody who's in our family will always have a reminder of who their famous grandfather was."
The funds for the statue were raised through donation pages and fundraisers held by fans who loved the legendary wrestler.
"It is absolutely surreal," said Sherri Brozoski, daughter of Da Crusher. "We are just speechless."
Crusherfest is a two-day event featuring live bands, pro-wrestling shows, food and more. It runs Saturday from 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
