Wrong way driver dies in accident, closes interstate for hours

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's office confirms that a wrong way driver died after causing a six car crash on I-94 near the Hawley Road exit.
The sheriff's office says the accident happened shortly after 8 p.m. on Friday when a car entered the eastbound lanes traveling in the opposite direction and causing an accident.
A number of cars pulled over with drivers getting out to help-- leading to a total eastbound closure and over two mile backup. All lanes did not reopen until almost 1 a.m. Saturday.
Officials have not commented on any other injuries.
