MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Brewers home opener is a Milwaukee tradition that includes fresh hopes, fresh brats, and a fresh start for the Brew Crew.
Of course, this year's home opener is paying tribute to the late Bob Uecker.
One of the longest tenured Brewers, Christian Yelich, posted on social media his own tribute video with words for Ueck.
For Yelich, he says it was different getting to the ballpark today.
The team will be honoring Mr. Baseball in many ways. Those include Uecker's signature in the outfield grass. There will be a moment of silence, the team has a tribute video that will play for fans.
Brewers players will have a jersey patch for Uecker.
A celebration of life will happen in August.
