BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) – A Milwaukee woman is facing several charges after hitting and spitting on two Brown Deer Police officers.
According to a criminal complaint, an officer stopped a car being driven the wrong way down West Brown Deer Road on March 9.
Court documents state Denisha Davis was driving the car. Once stopped, Davis told officers she had drank a margarita. Officers noticed Davis’ speech was slurred and her eyes were glassy. Davis then took field sobriety tests and a preliminary breath test where she blew 0.191. Davis was arrested and taken to the Brown Deer Police station.
While in the booking room, Davis hit an officer in the face as he was trying to take her coat off.
While Davis was at the hospital for a blood draw, she spit on the same officer. A hospital mask was placed on Davis so she wouldn’t spit again, but hospital workers had to remove it. Then, she spit on another officer.
Davis faces charges of OWI second offense and two counts of throw or discharge bodily fluids at a public safety officer.
If convicted, she faces up to seven years in prison and more than $20,000 in fines.
