MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The "No Mow May" movement, which advocates for refraining from cutting grass during May to aid pollinators such as bees, continues to gain momentum.
Auriana Donaldson, conservation programs coordinator for the Zoological Society of Milwaukee, joined us on Thursday, May 4 to discuss the organization's involvement in the initiative.
This year, the society is offering people the opportunity to sponsor bees at the Milwaukee County Zoo. In return, sponsors receive a plush-toy bee, an activity sheet, pollinator-friendly plant seeds and more.
