Unified Solutions will layoff 161 employees at its facility in Pleasant Prairie, according to a notice from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.

USI has entered into agreements for Kem Krest to purchase USI's assets and inventory.

As a result of the sale, 161 current employees at the USI facility located at 9801 80th Avenue, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158 will no longer be employed by USI as of June 24, 2016.

However, Kem Krest has expressed the intent to carry on operations at this facility and its intent to offer employment to certain current employees of USI.  According to a release, the Southeast Workforce Development Area's Rapid Response Team will contact the company to offer Rapid Response services to any affected employees.
