1 dead after single vehicle crash in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One person is dead after a single vehicle crash on Saturday, Oct. 12.

It happened around 12:48 a.m. .on CTH N in the Town of Jefferson. 

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, preliminary investigation shows that a truck was traveling southbound when it failed to negotiate a curve and left the road. The truck hit a tree and overturned before stopping upright. 

The driver of the truck was the only person inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The incident is under investigation.
