Milwaukee officer fires gun at armed suspect, no one injured

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police responded to a threat complaint near S. 27th and Howard on Tuesday, July 25 around 9:30 p.m. 

When officers arrived, they encountered a 24-year-old Milwaukee man who was reportedly armed with a gun. 

As the suspect was running from police, he allegedly pointed his gun at them. 

Officers were able to locate the man, however, the officers report that he did not comply with police to surrender.

One Milwaukee officer then discharged his gun, which did not strike anyone. 

The suspect was arrested without further incident. 

The investigation is ongoing as criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for review.
