12-year-old arrested in Arizona after Milwaukee area school threat

BUCKEYE, Ariz. (CBS 58) -- A 12-year-old was arrested in Buckeye, Arizona for a school threat in Milwaukee on Sunday, Sept. 22. 

According to the Buckeye Police Department, they were contacted by Milwaukee police about a school threat investigation in the area. They found the IP address linked to a home in Buckeye. 

Police in Arizona went to the home and interviewed a 12-year-old female and recovered evidence. Buckeye police say she was arrested and booked on felony charges, including making a terrorist threat. 

Police did not say what school the threat was directed at. 

According to the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) there has been a recent threat wave happening to schools in the state.
